Tamarind Village is situated at the heart of Chiang Mai’s historic old town. Many of the city’s most important landmarks and ancient temples are located within a few minutes of the hotel. Thapae Gate, the Three Kings Monument, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang are easily visited on foot as well as a number of lesser known yet equally worthy attractions including Wat Prasart, Wat Duang Dee and the Chiang Mai Architecture Center which is housed in a grand turn-of-the century wooden mansion. Each week, Chiang Mai’s famous ‘Sunday Walking Street’ takes place just in front of the hotel’s entrance on Rajdamoen Road.

Located 700 kilometers north of Bangkok, Chiang Mai is easily accessed by a number of daily, one hour flights from the capital. Tamarind Village is conveniently situated just fifteen minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport and only ten minutes from the Night Bazaar and the city’s lively riverside restaurants.
